The choices you're making right now in school can help you to reach your goals - or they can make it harder for you. You can make choices today that you'll be happy about later: decisions about choosing courses, coming to class, working hard, and planning. You can also start thinking about choices you'll have to make in the future and what you can do now to leave your options open.
One important choice you can make is to become a Maryland Scholar.
Basically, all you need to do is take a few extra courses beyond what the state requires for graduation. They are:
-- Algebra II,
-- Chemistry,
-- Physics, and
-- 2 years of a foreign language.
These courses will not only better prepare you to succeed in college and the workplace, they will earn you rewards from your school, your community and the state.
Being a Maryland Scholar pays off for you ... learn more here.
